Before you buy
Where the allowances come fromThe EEX auctions: the EU common platform on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, Germany on Fridays, Poland every other Wednesday, bidding 09:00 to 11:00 CET, delivered the next day. Bids go in through an EEX trading member (a bank or broker), or directly once admitted. Any quantity can also be bought on the secondary market on any day.
Why finish before SeptemberEvery shipping company surrenders by 30 September. Buying through the year averages the price and keeps the last weeks free for corrections from the verified figures.
Who pays for which shipFor ships on time charter, the allowances are usually recharged to the charterer (BIMCO ETS clause). The EU ETS statement to charterers sets out each voyage's share.
From estimate to your own figureThese figures repeat each ship's last reported year. Through the year your noon reports give the real figure; the verified figure in March 2027 is the one surrendered.
Nothing to buy on the public record
None of this company’s ships has emissions in EU ETS scope in its last reported year (no voyages or port stays in the EEA, or below 5,000 GT). If they trade in Europe now, your own figures will show the need: book a call.
Your own figures, your own plan
We replace the estimates with your noon-report or MRV data, keep the plan up to date every month, and track each purchase into the right MOHA until the surrender.
